2,000 words on my novel so far just keeping it consistent, writing ~500 words a day and editing as I go. this writing s*** is fun and so rewarding already

The a.s.o album from earlier this year has some Portishead influence. It's a bit all over the place and borrows from loads of wonky late 90s British pop. There's a bit of Saint Etienne, Massive Attack and even All Saints' Pure Shores (the greatest song of all time) in there as well. This is probably the most Portisheady track, whole album is worth a listen though

ngl i was so f***ing manically depressed the past few months, but i’m feeling a newfound appreciation for life and everything in it

I used to want to be a writer, even considered applying to the graduate program at Syracuse that George Saunders teaches. But holy hell that is a stressful career unless you're exceptionally talented...

I had a couple extremely successful writers/novelists that taught me at Syracuse, and looking back they were the best teachers I ever had.

As a hobby writing is great, especially if you need a creative outlet that's lacking from your life.
