I saw that pic last night and was like goddamn that would look great with the contrast cranked up to silhouette territory. Almost looks like a logo.
Mingus has always been my personal favorite of the beloved jazz titans, ahead of Coltrane, Ellington, just barely ahead of Miles. I've never heard a bad Mingus album and I never will. Black Saint, Blues & Roots, Mingus Ah Um, straight heat and passion as a performer and band leader.

one of the best artists of all time fr
its close between him and coltrane as my favorite jazz artist but im picking mingus for now
his 70s stuff is kinda underrated. this is so beautiful

I've heard so much good music today. Smoked up around noon, cleaned my apartment, did the dishes and laundry and got through a bunch of albums.
This Sofia Kourtesis album oh my God just amazing house music in a year overflowing with it

And Lamp came thru with the smoothest music of the year as always

The dusk to dawn concept is really tastefully done and comes out in the instrumentation and songwriting choices.
going for halloween as Ryan Gosling's character from the place beyond the pines. feel like such a douchebag with the cutofff metallica tee at the moment
My favorites are 1, 4, the one with the telekinesis chick and Jason Takes Manhattan
manhattan so kino, easily the best Jason drip. looked amazing in 35mm
RIP Chandler
Someone needs to go to his funeral and say “Could you be a worse swimmer?”

I used to really dig that one, but it’s gone down since for me. It’s got a great vibe and it’s still fun, but I just hate how tame it all is. 7 is even more neutered by the MPAA, but it at least still has the particular edge of the series all over it.

It's basically a horror comedy but I mean F13th was never really too gruesome/gory to begin with. It's all just fun 80s cheese to me
The Exorcist and Amityville are still at the top for me for films I consider genuinely creepy and unsettling, as far as spooky s*** goes.

The first 5 films play the material straight and I prefer that to the more overtly silly entries. All the movies are fun tho. I like them all.
@Very_Based think you'll love this closing instrumental on Lisa's first album
