I feel like after the first one it just went off the rails

The first 5 have a pretty similar feel. 3 only comes off more goofy cause of the 3D gimmick and it’s the worst one of those.

Feel like it's a rite of passage for every long-running film series to have a questionable in quality 3D installment at some point

4 was the last one that had any real sense of horror to me. I thought the adult Tommy Jarvis stuff was super goofy

4 is a close second, but 5 to me is everything the series is all about boiled down. Even if Jason isn’t the actual killer—it’s still a guy in a hockey mask killing dumb “teens”. It’s blood and b**** every other minute. Getting a p*** and exploitation director to make one of those was the right move. The adult Tommy stuff in that I think works, but it’s not as strong in 6 for me. 6 feels like a big joke and Tommy is just turned into generic hero man.

I love the whole series I just think 5 & 6 were the awkward transition period

That’s a good point, but I view 5 as more of like a last huge gasp for what the series used to be.

Was a talented dude too, played some NHL games for the pens a few years back. And it was in pretty much the biggest fixture in UK hockey so there would've been about 10,000 people there watching. Horrible stuff. Should have neck guards really shouldn't they
