been writing down notes of my dreams recently after I wake up. Watched the shining right before going to bed last night which was a big mistake. This is 10% of the dream (the part I remember)

Dream Journal #10

Part 1, The Company and The Axe Murderer

In a strange room
Doing business deal with company
Business deal goes very wrong
Man from company enters room
I hide behind desk
Man Is holding axe, begins to throw axe into my coworker, Patrick Bateman style
I watch for 15 minutes as man continues to strike axe into coworker, until coworker is nothing but blood and guts
Severe PTSD
Call cops, they don’t believe me, crying, severe trauma
I join a podcast call with David Lynch and other random folks, tell my harrowing story, very emotional, David Lynch and friends disregard my story, throw me off podcast
Finally I call someone at the company, I’m put on zoom call with cute asian chick named Dana. Speak to Dana for an hour, get disconnected from zoom call. Panic.

Part 2: The Wedding, Alex Jones and the Fourth Dimension

On my way to a wedding
Biking up hill with drew (my best friend irl)
I’m bicycling drew up hill, drew is on rollerblades attached to rope behind me, drew encouraging me to go on but too tired, we switch
Get to top of hill, beautiful redwood forest, avatar style, thousands of baobab and sycamore trees
Philip glass concert playing in the middle of forest, beautiful
Drew is over Philip Glass. Disappointed.
Go look for bicycle, find staircase in forest, go down staircase in forest that leads to grandmother's house
Prepare for wedding with 3 female cousins I’ve never met
Listening to rich homie quan
Reprimanded for listening to rich homie quan too loud
Can’t find shoes
Don’t make it to wedding
Lose Drew
Somehow end up in the 4th dimension with alex jones
Alex jones teaches me how to travel through the 4th dimension (time itself)
I exist in both time and space while also in a radio studio with Jones. I am everything and everywhere. I am dodging objects in space, surrounded by celestial beings that are moving upwards, throwing themselves at me. Alex Jones tells me that in order to keep from being ripped apart in the 4th dimension I must eat a balanced diet.
Alex jones is shirtless in studio smoking a cigar making out with colombian chick

this is how I dream every night my dreams are like 80 percent nightmares and I usually have like 20-30 different dreams a night

damn broski.. I will say I had one nightmare that stuck with me after sleep where I was running through some old auditorium and the teacher jumped off the top tier and hung himself. I looked at the audience and they were all mannequins.

very creepy but I know it was because I was thinking of some Ligotti stories early that day.

damn. didn't know you fkd with Ligotti trying to read Conspiracy Against The Human Race but it's too depressing.

that's creepy af tho. yeah had some dreams like that. I still wake up screaming sometimes. I won't even go into my sleep paralysis dreams.

I remember one dream I had when I was 7. Was in some creepy underground industrial building with a maze of rooms. Every new room I walked into I would find a different body part of my dog Rudy. Would find his bloody paw in one room then his little nose in the next one, and so on. I think Rudy died a few weeks later.

yea Ligotti is weird haha tbh his philosophy books dont interest me but his fiction is p good. I read his Dead Dreamer stories a few Octobers back. Very surreal Lynch/cosmic style horror.

Interesting I'm more interested in his philosophy stuff tbh. I can see why you like Lovecraft then. but if you've ever watched True Detective I think it's influenced quite a bit by Thomas Ligotti because Rust is basically a personification of Ligotti's philosophy. When you read that book (Conspiracy) you really wonder why he (Ligotti) hasn't killed himself. Or why you haven't for that matter :samok: Great book but would not recommend ever reading it

But yeah there's a good amount of both Ligotti and Lovecraft cosmic type horror stuff in True Detective. (I never got into Lovecraft but I should give him another chance) didn't help much that he was such a huge racist

I actually liked his Rats in The Walls short story but could never get over the fact that the cat's name was "Ni**er-Man"
