We’re ahead of the culture
I was saying that when I got back from Europe in August too. Idk about American cities cause it's been a while but theres definitely dramatically more people vaping in Europe than western Canada.
this is how I dream every night
my dreams are like 80 percent nightmares and I usually have like 20-30 different dreams a night
Start smoking weed before bed
no more disturbing nightly glimpses into your own psyche
My dreams:
Then forgetting 90% of my dreams 30 seconds after I wake up
Yeah I just forget them immediately so then basically don't exist
I did have one wicked lucid dream when I was like 20 where I found Thor's hammer and was trying to learn how to fly around our valley with it for hours
Also had a few lottery winnings dreams that were so depressing when I woke up I wanted to die
My old apartment was a few miles from an airport so I'd always hear planes taking off or landing. Had plane crash dreams all the time, sometimes they'd crash right through my window and I'd wake up like
No streetlights or anything so my house on the farm was f***ing pitch black at night and I'd always picture a sasquatch or wolf-man standing right outside my window
I could never sleep so I'd be pondering nuclear annihilation all night for years after my parents let me watch a horrifying BBC movie about it called Threads
My buddy that has a little taco restaurant franchise made me help him film a commercial this week for some reason
was weird pretending my dumb ass had a clue what I was doing with a little crew of professionals but I helped produce, write, make props and operated the boom
fun
been writing down notes of my dreams recently after I wake up. Watched the shining right before going to bed last night which was a big mistake. This is 10% of the dream (the part I remember)
Dream Journal #10
Part 1, The Company and The Axe Murderer
In a strange room
Doing business deal with company
Business deal goes very wrong
Man from company enters room
I hide behind desk
Man Is holding axe, begins to throw axe into my coworker, Patrick Bateman style
I watch for 15 minutes as man continues to strike axe into coworker, until coworker is nothing but blood and guts
Severe PTSD
Call cops, they don’t believe me, crying, severe trauma
I join a podcast call with David Lynch and other random folks, tell my harrowing story, very emotional, David Lynch and friends disregard my story, throw me off podcast
Finally I call someone at the company, I’m put on zoom call with cute asian chick named Dana. Speak to Dana for an hour, get disconnected from zoom call. Panic.
Part 2: The Wedding, Alex Jones and the Fourth Dimension
On my way to a wedding
Biking up hill with drew (my best friend irl)
I’m bicycling drew up hill, drew is on rollerblades attached to rope behind me, drew encouraging me to go on but too tired, we switch
Get to top of hill, beautiful redwood forest, avatar style, thousands of baobab and sycamore trees
Philip glass concert playing in the middle of forest, beautiful
Drew is over Philip Glass. Disappointed.
Go look for bicycle, find staircase in forest, go down staircase in forest that leads to grandmother's house
Prepare for wedding with 3 female cousins I’ve never met
Listening to rich homie quan
Reprimanded for listening to rich homie quan too loud
Can’t find shoes
Don’t make it to wedding
Lose Drew
Somehow end up in the 4th dimension with alex jones
Alex jones teaches me how to travel through the 4th dimension (time itself)
I exist in both time and space while also in a radio studio with Jones. I am everything and everywhere. I am dodging objects in space, surrounded by celestial beings that are moving upwards, throwing themselves at me. Alex Jones tells me that in order to keep from being ripped apart in the 4th dimension I must eat a balanced diet.
Alex jones is shirtless in studio smoking a cigar making out with colombian chick
dream ends, or can't remember anything after this
I started doing this a couple years ago to try and get a glimpse into my psyche but stopped when I realised it was all just f***ing nonsense

I give you facts
that are completely anecdotal

Nah you're right there's vapes everywhere. I think we're banning those one-use plastic ones soon but the cats already out of the bag with it. Will probably still be able to get them from any bossman worth his salt
I started doing this a couple years ago to try and get a glimpse into my psyche but stopped when I realised it was all just f***ing nonsense
hmm I actually don't totally agree that it's nonsense because usually I can connect about 50% of the dream with actual things happening in my life, usually in a somewhat abstract way, but sometimes not that abstract. but i'd say like at least 50 percent of it is bullshit.
the Freudian idea of dream a***ysis is definitely not totally correct but is pretty interesting to think about since we still don't really have any idea why we dream or where they come from. like what is the fabric/form of dreams or even consciousness, are images of consciousness purely metaphysical or somewhat physical in nature?
I think I told you of this essay Cormac wrote about the subconscious/dreams, and the Kekulé problem. really nice short little essay I'd still recommend and you can see its influence in his final two books. I appreciate him for writing a great essay that isn't academic/jargony sounding whatsoever. He was the man
nautil.us/the-kekul-problem-236574
"I call it the Kekulé Problem because among the myriad instances of scientific problems solved in the sleep of the inquirer Kekulé’s is probably the best known. He was trying to arrive at the configuration of the benzene molecule and not making much progress when he fell asleep in front of the fire and had his famous dream of a snake coiled in a hoop with its tail in its mouth—the ouroboros of mythology—and woke exclaiming to himself: “It’s a ring. The molecule is in the form of a ring.” Well. The problem of course—not Kekulé’s but ours—is that since the unconscious understands language perfectly well or it would not understand the problem in the first place, why doesnt it simply answer Kekulé’s question with something like: “Kekulé, it’s a bloody ring.” To which our scientist might respond: “Okay. Got it. Thanks.”
Why the snake? That is, why is the unconscious so loathe to speak to us? Why the images, metaphors, pictures? Why the dreams, for that matter......"
......."The picture-story lends itself to parable. To the tale whose meaning gives one pause. The unconscious is concerned with rules but these rules will require your cooperation. The unconscious wants to give guidance to your life in general but it doesnt care what toothpaste you use. And while the path which it suggests for you may be broad it doesnt include going over a cliff. We can see this in dreams. Those disturbing dreams which wake us from sleep are purely graphic. No one speaks. These are very old dreams and often troubling. Sometimes a friend can see their meaning where we cannot. The unconscious intends that they be difficult to unravel because it wants us to think about them. To remember them. It doesnt say that you cant ask for help. Parables of course often want to resolve themselves into the pictorial. When you first heard of Plato’s cave you set about reconstructing it."
Most played albums from the last 3 years

this sounds like terrible advice lol no offense. anytime I get high or drunk before bed the dreams become like 10x more vivid. I once had a dream so profound after a night of heavy drinking that I just sat in my bed for 3 hours when I woke up, pondering existence.
Also once my mom gave me a tiny piece of her chocolate cbd weed thing to see if it would help me sleep and I ended up having a panic attack and seeing s*** in my room. So far weed is the one d*** that's definitely not for me. Done it like 25 times in my life and never had a good experience

Flavored vapes are totally illegal in NYC but every single smoke shop on every corner of Manhattan sells them. And most of them are probably fake ones/filled with even worse chemicals than the legitimate ones.
It's like when NYC tried banning tattoos in the 90s and people still ended up getting tattoos only underground where s*** was less likely to be sterile and people were getting infections. NY does weird s*** like this all the time. When will this city learn that prohibition does not work.
