Remember when I was 12 you were probably 20. What do you expect from a dumb 12yo?
Try 22!! This man close af to retiring
Late Registration was the first album I ever owned, and I think followed by Black on Both Sides by Mos Def, surprisingly. Could probably rap the entirety of Late Registration when I was 15 front to back
The entirety?

I was gonna actually gonna write 22 but didn't want to be disrespectful in case I was pushing it lol

Well I know we're the same age and I know he's got 10 years lol. Wasn't disrespect just facts
The entirety?
scrolling through the track list right now, probably. at least back then. Maybe with the exception of Crack Music and Bring Me Down, but I still love both those songs
Marshall Mathers LP was deadass like Thriller or something of that era. Literally everybody and their sister and their mother owned a copy. It's surprising.
Yea it really was one of those albums that defined a certain period. Those late 90’s early 00’s MTV years. Hearing something like Stan on the radio was nuts when you think about it haha
Might make it my yearly tradition where I catch up on the year in late November & December based on year end lists and your guys discussions throughout the year
this been a lot of fun

I owned a handful of albums when I was 12, before Eminem existed. I don't see what our age has to do with it
if I was a big enough fan of anybody to make a YouTube video about them when I was 15 would definitely know their biggest album which that sold more copies than anything since MJ. I'm not freaking out but it's definitely odd.
chilling on a sunday night unironically jamming some bon jovi

It's disrespect when you say I'm close to retiring
My favorite album in 2005 was Green Day - American Idiot
literally memorized the whole thing. Probably just know bits and pieces now. It's been a while

I'm clearly kidding. You probably got more pep in your step than my chronically injured self

My mom used to do those mail order music club things in the '90s and I got Dookie when it came out. Hated them ever since and probably did permanent damage to my punk music acclimation.

loved green day in elementary school but i revisited dookie for the first time in eons and thought it was really bad
ironically i ended up thinking blink182 actually has some decent stuff even though i didnt like them as a kid

I guess things with kids changed in the 10 years between our generations cause literally everybody that I knew had that album. And none of them were making YouTube videos about Eminem.

Man I loved that album so much. Listening to Wake Me Up When September Ends as a little lad
Remember I introduced my friend to Green Day and he became an ultra fan, showed up in an American Idiot t-shirt the next week. Except I never really liked Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
