nah Dookie got some bangers on it yall trippin
i still like the big songs i liked as a kid for the nostalgia just cant sit through entire albums of it
Man I loved that album so much. Listening to Wake Me Up When September Ends as a little lad
Remember I introduced my friend to Green Day and he became an ultra fan, showed up in an American Idiot t-shirt the next week. Except I never really liked Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
I loved Boulevard but Wake Me Up never really connected.

Longview is their best song imo

I still love those songs even without the nostalgia factor. Same with American Idiot. Doing cocaine for the first time with this song playing in the background

the part where he says the f word on boulevard of broken dreams was a crazy moment to me as a young lad
might be misremembering with my older self. I think I actually loved the whole thing at the time but Wake Me Up grew off me the quickest
the part where he says the f word on boulevard of broken dreams was a crazy moment to me as a young lad
or when he says "Fuck America" at the beginning of the album on the title song
felt so naughty jamming along to that on my ipod
This killed Boulevard of Broken Dreams for me the same way the moms spaghetti edit ruined Lose Yourself

This album is on my list. Yeah I might have to play this before bed tonight
Well aren't you special
they got some good stuff and Dookie is among those
I always disliked Green Day, but Dookie is honestly a good album for what it is. Hard to really fault any of their early stuff.
It’s kinda weird I never liked any of that stuff, but I’ve always held it down for Weezer even through their cringiest phases.

some pretty good (and extremely unexpected) news to share. The hospital found someone on the cadaver list to give a kidney to my mother (in other words, someone died who was a match for my mother) The chance of someone being a match with her was extremely low due to the amount of antibodies in her system as a consequence of a blood transfusion two years ago. We also didn't expect a donor for at least several years to be found because the average waiting time is usually around 5 years for a new kidney, and it's only been one year so far. The life expectancy of Kidney failure (without a donation) is about 5 years as well, so finding a Kidney in only a year is a bit of a miracle. My mom is on her way to the hospital right now, so hopefully it should all be done in the next few days.
This is also a bit surreal/shocking for me, since I've been mentally preparing myself for about 8 months to be a donor myself and taking all these tests, it's a little weird to not have that responsibility anymore. At this point I had considered it inevitable to be donating sometime in the next 6 months or so. I'm still processing it all... not entirely sure how to feel but I guess it's a good thing.
I guess I'm in the clear to start binge drinking again, y'all
