    internet buddy

I like Pumpkins, RATM, Pantera, Korn and AiC WAYYYYYYYYY more than Radiohead if we’re talking ‘90s s*** bro. All britpop is about the same level to me even though OKC is ethereal.

i used to be a huge radiohead fan started listening to them in middle school but now i’m on the air they’re overrated

I love the Pumpkins, but RHCP and Korn > Radiohead is crack talk. My favorite band from the 90’s might be Suede tbh. Also get back to me on that song I said sounds like their best ballads.

I've never heard you talk about any Suede the way you talk about s*** like No Surprises and/or Let Down

They have higher highs, but in terms of consistently hitting my sensibilities musically in the 90’s I’d say there’s a good case for Suede.

They've received quite the backlash so that evens out imo. OK C, Kid A and Amnesiac are classics. IR could have been but I personally would have changed the track list quite a bit.

I couldn't for the life of me think of who your favorite band of the 90s would be maybe BTS or AIC

I think most people that were buying albums in the '90s still consider the bends their best one

I know you’re not as high on The Bends, but when it comes to warm melodic and organic sounding alternative rock in the 90’s—it is arguably the peak. It’s the total opposite of Amnesiac and that’s why it’s equally compelling in my view.

They just happened to garner that annoying/pretentious type fan base. I'd put them on the same level as a band like NIN, but no one says they're overrated.

It's not the fan base so much as it's every publication for years giving them more praise than any band has gotten since the Beatles. That s*** will wear people out.

Actually The Flaming Lips is my favorite band of the 90’s. I did a deep dive again last year and watching their evolution is so satisfying.

Yeah true the media sucked their ass for years. It'll make anyone resent you eventually even if the music is alright.

Yeah, not all of their 80’s stuff connects with me, but it’s fascinating watching them constantly shift sounds and then start to crystallize one in the beginning of the 90’s—which they just continue to fine tune and expand upon.
