    Yeah true the media sucked their ass for years. It'll make anyone resent you eventually even if the music is alright.

    I cant imagine how grating the Beatles with not just all the praise but success and hype and everything must have been if you didnt dig them that wouldve sucked

    Like I dont hate Taylors music and wish her well but all of this is getting annoying

    I will be seeing them, Dinosaur Jr, and Weezer in September. Really excited for that.

    Some family wants to go as well. They only know a few songs from Dinosaur Jr and The Flaming Lips so I’ll have to make them a playlist to get them more familiar.

    yeah i'm down. I don't think I have a single Kinks song in my top 400 songs, whereas all the other artists mentioned (besides Neil) have 6+ songs each.

    what about Gene Clark/The Byrds?

    I think we should allow that like Kanye they might be a little overrated if you're not a stan

    Some artists are so significant and influential that they can't really be overrated

    Or, put another way, someone calling them overrated just looks ridiculous

    Aphex Twin straight up pulled one of his songs for that reason. Overexposure will annoy the f*** out of anyone no matter how good the music is.

    Beatles had the benefit of their era but yeah

    I couldn't for the life of me think of who your favorite band of the 90s would be maybe BTS or AIC

    probably NIN for Downward Spiral alone (The Fragile and the EPs are also amazing but that one has a "soft" spot in my heart.) Love that album to death.

    Eric, Gordon - AIC

    My fav 90’s band is probably Modest Mouse I actually like SKM way more than RHP

    I'd describe their first three or four albums as Replacements meets Butthole Surfers and Floyd. They kept Floyd tho
