Yeah I was playing it a bit. I've actually heard a bunch of the songs in it already, but some nice ones I haven't listened to. will play it some more tomorrow at work

Nice yeah definitely figured you'd know a bunch but it's its cool to hear it all in hard chronological order. The developed so many different facets so fast.

PageSix lmao. Not exactly a reputable source but the headline still floored me

You don't have to add each album individually. Just add all your albums at once as long as they're one line each then rank away

Just realized it will also let you know how many albums you're ranking when you click 'RANK' and you can remove albums until the desired amount. Yeah this site rocks

I reckon this would have been a pretty edgy album intro from the biggest band on earth at the height of the cold war

It's a bold intro that's for sure. Curious about how this album came about

they f***ed off to study transcendental meditation or whatever at a remote ashram in India and didnt have access to the mountain of acid and other d**** they were doing in 1967, so the songs were alot more focused and down to earth. not as reliant on fancy production. their best album by a fairly wide margin.

It does sound focused. Also, for a 60s album, this is pretty daring sometimes lol

Velvet Underground, Zappa, Dylan, Kinks, Van Morrison, Elevators, Doors, Byrds, Can... I could keep going all day. all had daring albums in their own ways.
