Nah I don't cry but my mom sobs at everything to the point of it being comical. But I've been meaning to watch it for years now. Looks like a very genuine film.

And that's awesome. I didn't know he had a criterion. He had a huge impact on me actually. I used his "painting on film strips effect" in some films in college. I use the effect briefly at the beginning of my college film reel and at the beginning of an experimental film I made back when I was a freshman. I don't think that highly of these...but I'll link them anyway... (surprised I still even have these/they haven't been deleted) I used similar effects/techniques in other videos, but they're long gone.

And yeah. Kind of wild looking back at it. He had sunglasses on inside and looked like a badass and I didn't even know I was sitting next to a Palme d'Or winner/top 3 filmmaker oat I would be starstruck if I saw him today.

need to find a way to embed these

This is cool man. Thanks for sharing!

But trust me, you dont have a soul if you dont start choking up near the end when they're in the car.

Yup. Fav directors/movies outside of decades would be cool too. I think limiting movie lists by decade won’t get many participants, in my opinion.

The way Gary and Alana form a relationship reminded me a lot of It Happened One Night type movies as well as something like Punch Drunk Love

yeah but its never set in the world of the office workers nor is it about marketing

also it was also great not game changing to me

nowhere near my trinity of Peaks/Curb/Sopranos
