    DK gon DK..

I think you would enjoy Candyman, not only a slasher but nice take on urban decay taking place in the infamous Cabrini-Green Projects in Chicago. Nice soundtrack and themes from dusty horror too.

Hey broski at least i try

Will check out Candyman and that Rutger Hauer jam if you check out Murnau's Faust for the most dread imagery and mystifying practical special effects ever conjured.

The trashiness and goofy acting is the whole appeal of slashers

Yeah like who cares about acting in slasher movies let alone most b horror flicks in general.

I don’t take ratings very seriously. If I really like something, like I just got something good out of it...I don’t even need specifics that I can identify, than I’ll rate it like 4 stars. If it really impresses me than it’s 4 & 1/2 and if it’s truly special it’s 5. It’s rare that I actually hate s*** anymore. Art across all mediums is people expressing themselves and hopefully me getting something out of that. I don’t even really care about identifying what through like traditional standards of quality. You know acting, cinematography, writing, etc. If I felt something that I feel was worth feeling than it was good.

Rasie at one point started giving the most unpredictable ratings ever. I can't even pinpoint his taste anymore. Only thing I know for certain now is that he loves Godard and has gotten more into the filmthread canon/Shrek's canon and isn't that much into more recent films being influenced by old Hollywood.

    I HAVE TRANSCENDED!!!!

Lol but really i guess my tastes have just evolved a lot over the past couple years

broski I hate when today's kid actors become all affected after they make a movie.. Like I dont want to see you on Good Morning America talking about solving the worlds issues

Said it once ill say it again best kid actors in recent memory were in Mud. My boy Neckbone

  • May 2, 2020

bad acting does bother me depending on the tone/context. If there was horrible performances in something like The Master or 12 Angry Men it would be incredibly distracting and probably take me out of it. When I’m watching a trashy Tobe Hooper film or something like that I’m not looking for performances. It’s more about aesthetics and feelings.
