this list is very based indeed. my issue is how do you define something like post-rock.
there are a few bands here that i'm just not sure fall into the category. if the category even exists, truly.
everyone says Slint is post-rock and even that it invented post-rock but i'm not sure that it's a good description of Spiderland, an album that in all honesty defies classification.

Post Rock is a very loose term but I think that one can find a link between Drone or at least slow rock and Progressive Rock as well as many moments of Psychedelia and Noise in this branch of music. I think what links most of them is a very romantic understanding of music (the individual against the world/nature.). There are gestures of grandeur or at least hints at it in most albums mentioned here but not necessarily the celebration of it than rather the defeat or acceptance.

I agree there is a link to all those genres and we could even say ambient music/experimental rock/math rock, even Krautrock?. I often hear things like “rock music that slowly builds to a climactic finish, above average playtimes, the progression of musical motifs repeating” These terms are seemingly specific yet completely vague.
Every definition I read never really hits the nail on the head. Not by fault of the definition but by the ineffable nature of the genre itself. yours is quite good though :)
I wish more of the Godzilla movies had the same vibe as the original. It was so grim.
I’ve re-listened to Spiderland like 4 times in the last few days, thinking about how the members of that band were 19-20 when they wrote it and how unbelievable that is.
Just listen to the lyrics in a song like 'Good Morning, Captain' and it's hard to believe they were that young when they wrote it.

Godzilla vs Hedorah might be my favorite Zilla film tbh

A lot of them are goofy, but if you just get into the vibes they’re going for throughout the different eras than there’s usually something to like about all of them.
I’m fully on that Snyder Cut wave tbh.
Its probably going to still be bad, but I am definitely happy that creator's artistry took a win in the hollywood system
Watching all these Noire’s Aruji recommended in order of release has been fun.
hey dude I might be missing something but why do you spell Noir with an 'e' at the end ?

I’ve grown to like Man of Steel and BvS so much more over the years and with the money they’re putting into it I have faith it’ll at the very least be interesting.

It’s spelt both ways, I just think it looks better like that.

I mean I love a number of Snyder's movies. I just can't imagine that his JL was ever going to be good. His original vision was to spread out the DCEU a lot more and he was forced to immediately go from MOS to BvS when he wanted to do another superman sequel and build up to it.
And then he was sat down by WB after BvS flopped and was probably told to compromise a s*** ton with the JL script. So even if aspects of this were cut, I genuinely doubt what is being shot right now is going to overturn the corporate s*** storm that was all over Snyder's ass to begin with.
