Ngl I'd have especially loved it if they'd ended up playing something from the Berserk 1997 Ost, as unlikely as that may have been lol. Akira would've been perfect though

I think he also said something like, "beatles influenced Sonic Youth's sound"

maybe not but they still did this which is cool

I’ve been on a Beatles tear the last few days. Here are my main takeaways:
Sgt. Pepper’s is hella overrated
Let it Be is hella underrated
Please Please Me kicks ass

Shrek would approve of the Let It Be love
I endorse the PPM love. Early phase too good, nobody that doesn't listen to other music from that era gets it.

Abbey Road best Beatles by far
Sgt Pepper is like 5th best Beatles but still great. my favorite is Revolver. Abbey Road very close second.
Hot take: Beatles for Sale is criminally underrated

4. Sgt Pepper
5. Abbey Road
6. Magical Mystery Tour

Might give it a rewatch before I give Lordie my final list but oof, wasnt for me.
i feel kinda bad putting Abbey Road at 5 but I dont like it as much as I used to, songs like Something and even the medley i like a lot but just not as much as my favorite beatles stuff
their best production tho
