The very second after Lester Bangs took his last breath

Matt Taibbi was still doing tremendous reporting up until a little while ago (he's mainly elsewhere now iirc)

Also Rob Sheffield for his hilariously subjective reviews

    You like Peter Travers?

Used to but he definitely seems to be getting more trog as he (or I?) gets older

He put me on all the contemporary North American goats when I was young so I'll always owe him that

Was gonna say something along the lines of I know you haven't actually read one in eaons

About 5-6 years ago they cut the content in half and starting blatantly trying to appeal to trash modern country fans and at that point I was embarrassed I ever bought it regularly

Last decade Pitchfork bet all their chips on Rap's rising dominance, while Rolling Stone went all in on Country's similar popularity.

The album is fine. I listened to it last night since Kanye's album didn't drop and was like w.e. I don’t get why critics are deciding to champion Taylor Swift and this album as a masterpiece when it's really only slightly above average. Seems like music publications these days are just hype machines.

I swear some of the melodies/lyric are ripped straight from Phoebe Bridgers and I know TSwift is a fan of Phoebe too so...

literally don't care about 95% of publications these days

even p4k post 2015 has been hella mid

also how a lot blogs have either been bought out by bigger companies or shut down has added insult to injury
