When Snoop said "let's keep it one thou-wow, white rappers had zero credibility whatsoever before Eminem", did that include the Beastie Boys? thought they were always the exception long before Eminem came along

Beastie Boys were mutual friends in rap cause of Rubin. You could argue that they had a rock background so they weren’t respected in the culture.

Beastie Boys ain't really that good as rappers, let's be honest. Paul's Boutique a masterpiece because of the production

They are great, especially Ad-Rock who's one of my favourite rappers. I know they were too eclectic for most people still s*** like this should be universally loved

I think it has more to do with attitude and delivery than lyrics.

The Bergman one is so expensive. At least do one with a director with a shorter filmography.

what made you go so hard on the dk-core lately

That was almost exactly the point. That’s how they channeled punk energy into this new genre. They are sardonic nature mixed with their playful back-and-forth fit right in.

yeah i don’t even like em like that but even i know their appeal was not their technical skills as rappers

Eminem is a better rapper.... but his 'good' music relied on shock value and has mediocre replay value... his bad music was the other 80% of his discography.
