Eminem is a better rapper.... but his 'good' music relied on shock value and has mediocre replay value... his bad music was the other 80% of his discography.
yeah I still really like the song D*** Ballad, but honestly I don’t see myself ever willingly listening to anything else by him these days
reported again, just stop posting irrelevant s*** itt bro
I am a God
I am a God
I am a God
yeah i don’t even like em like that but even i know their appeal was not their technical skills as rappers
The way they went back and forth every couple lines like a well oiled machine was it's own kind of (very) technical

I can listen to SSLP and MMLP every here and there, but like I had said, very little replay value in shock-rap. Main reason I'm removing my MMLP vote. Can't vote for something I can't enjoy on the same level for multiple listens in a row

it was definitely experimental to rap like that, wouldn’t say it was a testament to their technical ability tho. if anything it’s easier for each person to rap like that, don’t have to worry as much about breath control, etc.

Nah that was a staple of 80s rap, run dmc and the furious five were doing it just to a less technical degree
Beasties did have alot of weird experimental stuff in the 90s tho
Also why I think "I'm In It" is the worst song on Yeezus. It's clearly shock-rap in s***form instead of horror form. The beat is an audio nightmare, too. Just attacking your senses for the sake of attacking em.

You have to worry way more about timing though or face the ire of your group when you come in late

naaa bro that beat slaps, that lil spiral synth is heaven

Completely successful imo

lmao i meannnn, i’m sure it took multiple takes to get the verses just right cuz of the factors you mentioned, but i hope they weren’t s***ting on each other like that

‘Put my fist in you like a civil rights sign’ is pure poetry

Agree to disagree. Yeezus' greatness ends at masterpiece "Hold My Liquor"
Briefly comes back in "Blood on the Leaves" until the warbling and unnecessary outro and "Bound 2"

just realized i’m thinking of Guilt Trip anyways lmfao (i’m drunk) i love I’m In It too though

yea that line is funny tbf. I can mostly get over the lyrics on it for the hilarity factor. Mostly a problem with messiness of the beat. No amount of sonic engineering can make me think that beat isn't a f***ing mess

i mean when they did that s*** live. stunning skill on display imo.

every moment a masterpiece
one of the only albums from last decade that i can still run back twice in a row and enjoy every second
aight yeezus fam yall can stop coming at me. "I am a God" and "Hold My Liquor" both in my top 10

First 5 tracks then Guilt Trip then BOTL would be a killer tracklist
