I just didn’t like the joke because I felt it was downplaying Nipsy, however I can see how it could have been intended a different way, since Chris was dressed like a hipster and that’s something a hipster would say.
Either way it just rubbed me wrong

it was right on the line and maybe over it, a little too fresh about a real, dead man with a lot of people who loved him.

but part of the joke is that when a rapper, dies a bunch of corny individuals who don't know enough to talk about hip hop like that suddenly are compelled to have opinions on it by the television and social media and suddenly act like the death of nipsey hussle was meaningful to them. and i think that the people who inflate nipsey's importance so that ppl who never knew s*** about his work suddenly talk abt him like he's pac are doing it for selfish reasons and it should be mocked (if not necessarily like this)

but yeah, there doesnt need to be a whole discourse about it
