i strongly disagree. i disagree with him way more often than not but I think he is an overall net positive. He's gotten a lot of people to listen to things they wouldn't have otherwise and generally has led a bunch of people to think about music more critically

This a problem with music discourse as a whole, one of the best examples of this is the popular critique that Jacob Collier is all technique no emotion but most of these ppl have only heard 1 song, disliked it and took someone else’s opinion on it so they can look more in the know than they really are.

I love NAV and disagree with Fantano here but he reviews hundreds of albums, some artists he just doesn't connect with. For example I could never really f*** with Kendrick that deeply because of his voice, and Fantano has the same problem with NAVs voice
