mmonayI think this is the part that confuses me most about drake stans commenting and focusing the discussion to the beef.
Drake has a lot of moral inconsistencies throughout the beef and his career in general.
People like @thekid187 will never acknowledge the moral inconsistencies from Drake during the beef because it’s not about “holding the artist accountable” or whatever bullshit people have said itt. It’s just scraping the barrel for something to soften the L Drake took

again not really a fan of the line in general, I don't really see having SZA on tour and Serena at the Super Bowl as "using" them but it sounds like we are just going to disagree on that one.
Drake had very many hypocritical and downright questionable choices that he made during the beef, I don't think people are as against drake as much as you think. He is afforded a lot of grace in the public eye and is one of the biggest artists in the world.

I am a black guy who enjoys some pop music and country music that’s made by white people, am I just not allowed to have an opinion in a white genre? (And I know that folk/ country wasn’t always white dominated but that’s not the point)

Both of them talk about things personal and impersonal. I think Kendrick is just seen as more broad because he also talks about poverty and meditation and s***. But you gotta realize how much early Drake meant to women in that time period. He was the only one making them feel seen and heard in what was considered to be a sexist genre. There weren't as many Megan thee Stallions or Glorillas so Drake was seen as one of the key figures for championing women
I'd argue that more women took Drake's uplifting message about women more seriously than anyone ever did about Kendrick and "salvation" (w/e that means). Drake legitimately had a strong female fanbase that loved him for being less misogynistic than traditional rappers whereas Kendrick's biggest fans were always just rap nerds that thought he was nice on the mic lol

I wouldn't care about this or factor this into my opinion. Everybody has their own choice to like and identify what they want to. Being infatuated with nostalgia isn't something I'd value as valid opinion. That could be a feeling but I approach feelings and opinions differently
I completely disagree with your a***ysis because how reliant it is on a perceived person's and selected genders feelings. Whether someone feels something, in the confines of hypocrite v manipulator which I believe to be what's being argued, has no bearings on what the beliefs have been spoken about on the behalf of both artists
Drake could and is a hypocrite in many different ways, but because he made women good and now he don't isn't hypocrisy to me
