this entire battle is just pick and choose, take a step back from the screen fellas.
its over
what about the morality angle in family matters where Drake accused Kendrick of being a bad husband and father?
Those were flips on “I’ve got a son to raise but clearly you don’t know nothin bout thatttt” simply just rebuttals.
can we at least agree that kendrick won the beef?

What about it
Kendrick prolly sees carti the same way he sees kodak with a sympathetic tone
Maybe
He does say this in mtg
"But I would like to say it's not your fault that he's hidin' another child
Give him grace, this the reason I made Mr. Morale"

including the trans uncle bar? clearly saying a woman can even become better man than you
Idk if that’s really the way to go about it unless he is a racist
I am a black guy who enjoys some pop music and country music that’s made by white people, am I just not allowed to have an opinion in a white genre? (And I know that folk/ country wasn’t always white dominated but that’s not the point)
i think there is a huge difference between having an opinion within a space thats "not yours" versus acting like an authority figure within said space. zach lowe for ex is a white man who i think does a good job of being in nonwhite spaces without occupying them
maybe i'm off base but i've always felt like fantano acts as if he is a part of the culture as opposed to being a guest. same for an adam22
say whatever you want about that fat rapist pig Ak but at least this is his culture

I wonder if Kendrick ever said that to Carti in the studio

Address that already, it wasn't framed as a moral stand against abusers

I particularly hate Ak because this IS his culture, a culture where he has a large platform, and he totally squanders it by making it more toxic
this is true you got me there, i am currently on the hunt for a halo 3 zune player
This is the most late 2000s item I've ever heard of in my entire life
I mean sure but my main point is that however drake framed the allegations it differ from how kendrick largely framed it after euphoria.
I made that og post in response to someone asking why there's people pointing out hypocrisy on Kendrick part and not drake.
Drake using whitney as proxy to diss Kendrick falls in line with someone who would still be cool with people like Carti
I think Kendrick and other rappers that get placed in a "conscious" category's get judged a bit differently, Drake has plenty of moments of hypocrisy and they were likely wondering why people/supporters are willing to place a blind eye to it.
just because he framed a couple hand selected bars differently does not mean it should be completely dismissed. Just like Kendricks shouldn't if we are going to place a microscope on it.

fwiw, i hate Ak and i hope he perishes tomorrow. but at least he's speaking within his own culture
i cannot stand white people who feel the need to enter and occupy nonwhite spaces and then start spouting off s*** as if they're word is the divine mandate. gives me colonizer vibes. and i've always felt that vibe from fantano
Which rapper ain't a hypocrite? Pac on one song saying "think my brothas, we are the ones killing ourselves. Its not them, its us!" and then the very next song is about being in love with his gun and killing people
What about it
that s*** keeps getting ignored every time
just like Drake throwing out allegations first
that’s why this entire conversation is annoying as f***
cause it consistently forgets everything Drake did first multiple times in order to win an argument against Kendrick
including the trans uncle bar? clearly saying a woman can even become better man than you
I mean, I took that as another rebuttal to Kendrick questioning Drake being a good dad from euphoria. But
I guess the Whitney line from pushups raised some eyebrows, but Taylor made (ai Tupac) and euphoria in general were the catalyst to shambles.

That line did more than raise some eyebrows. U don’t EVER imply that another man’s woman is a hoe and drag her into a beef.

So there’s rules to rap beef?
