I’m not saying the music needs to be political, but in that instance on this new album Kanye is obviously referencing his own outbursts which are political in nature.

When Kanye used to rap (and talk,tweet, etc)about politics, it was s*** that mattered was all I was saying, this recent s*** with hitler and trump is such a weird left turn in context of everything he stood for and talked about on his like… first seven albums
