alright, finished my discog relisten. he doesn't have a bad record (Pure Comedy is my clear least favorite though). hype for the new addition

What's the deal with Pure Comedy

the deal or my deal? haha, it's still solid for me just not as tight as the others. i don't think "Leaving LA" is all that great. there are some real stunners though like the title track and "So I'm Growing Old on Magic Mountain." homie on the last page said Pure Comedy is in the top for him

the deal lol. I know it's kind of a divisive record. If I remember correctly, that came right after Honeybear, right?

yup, 2017
i guess it's his most overtly political and showcasing of his world view? so maybe less about the music and more about his opinions is a part of the equation. lol
Is this any good....that one song with the video of him dancing literally sounds like an iPod commercial (in a bad way)
checking this out off the strength of the name alone .
you smoke trees twin? finna be high enough to reach mahashmashana on this one
what's crazy is Honeybear towards the bottom of my list lol don't get me wrong there's songs I absolutely love on there just not as many as his other albums...I'd put Fear Fun and Pure Comedy at the top personally but I also think in my case that may be due to starting with Pure Comedy and then Fear Fun and so on...had Honeybear been my introduction to FJM maybe I'd have more appreciation for it
I like all of his albums, so it really depends on what mood I'm in at a particular time.

As far as production goes, Pure Comedy is his best project in that regard. It's a sonic masterpiece. Some of the actual songs don't land for me, personally, but he has some undeniable classics on there.

I feel that
I don't hate Honeybear whatsoever but yeah I feel like I'm an outcast bc people always name that as their favorite and it just isn't for me but yeah it also depends on the mood there's definitely times I'd throw that on over his over records
His last album was kinda underwhelming with some highs but I’m hoping this is great
Been listening to Hollywood Forever Cemetery and Nancy From Now On a bunch this week
God’s Favorite Customer I really really liked the year it dropped but haven’t been too into it outside of the title track in a while
i still remember my first memory of his music is on Spotify shuffle and this was the cover art that showed
I believe this is his only written interview for this album cycle so far. Not too much about the new record, but a cool conversation nonetheless.

Can’t wait to listen. Went to one of the record store listening parties in October, and it sounded amazing, but I’ve held off on listening since then so this will be awesome
woah, was not expecting She Cleans Up to come after that lol my first time hearing this. it's pretty cool, f***ing with the energy. i lowkey wouldn't think this was him if it randomly came on
Josh Tillman and the Accidental Dose
idk what you talkin bout bro but TALK THAT S***. THIS S*** HARD.
