Lol I feel you. Honeybear just hits different for me. So far, I've listened to Fear fun, that album, and God's fav customer. Only one I did not like much was Fear Fun except that Call me Nancy song

see I must be a weirdo because I f*** with Fear Fun waaaay more than Honeybear lol God's Favorite Customer as a whole kind of falls off towards the end but has some really great songs on it and then there's Pure Comedy which is probably his most "epic" release yet...a little too bloated IMO but also features some of my favorites since that album is when I became a fan really...with Honeybear again I really only LOVE the title track and The Night Josh Tillman Came To Our Apt otherwise a lot of that album just doesn't hit for me the same as it does others idk

Recently re-watched The Aviator and I swear I just re-heard the diner scenes music listening to this album

That outro song easily one of the best songs of his career, nice album too very lush. Good background music nothing too too challengiing, interesting direction for him to go in musically

that’s def the highlight track for me. i enjoy pretty much the whole album tho, probably already better than God’s Fav Customer for me

Tbh I’m having a little trouble with it right now, although I feel like it’s a grower for sure.

I was bored to death by pure comedy the first time I heard it but it’s one of my favorite albums OAT now.
