Yeah... there is a lot of trash on Reddit that basically amounts to old people Facebook meme tier discussion. There are also countless active communities based on pretty much any hobby/interest you might have.

Whatever helps me on my work really. Plus ask reddit can be interesting at times but I rarely visit it

Basically none of these platforms are 100% trash. People just think it's cool to clown an entire website so they do so without exploring it.

A lot of reddit is bad and the upvote/downvote system discourages independent thought, but it's got some great parts.
