there's definitely a lot of lib gen z people but theyre overrepresented online. if you leave urban or college town areas a lot of gen z is apolitical or barstool conservative-ish

But I feel like the whole brand that barstool is pushing is that politics are gay and retärded, something to be ignored. the only thing that matters is sports and b****

So fundamentally that can’t cohere into a significant voting block. Like, they aren’t excited to line up for the polls. Though their presence could still be felt in other ways.

    Could be totally wrong tho

i don't literally mean people who follow barstool. i just mean people who have a style of politics which is very similar to what's promoted there (esp by Portnoy). basically a mix of 80s-90s democrat near social apolitical-ism w/ american small government libertarianism

political blocks being completely ed has never stopped anyone in america in history before

only reason I disagree is because of how much specifically involves trump with this. by comparison to RvW where the effect from Trump is there but it's not intrinsically tied to him, this is connected to Trump directly, and it's the culmination of a multi-year partisan duel, something which Trump has actively kept up the momentum of and his allies & fans deeply believe. I mean, there are STILL candidates from the GOP running on Stop The Steal! From 2-3 YEARS AGO. And they are WINNING. Literally, #StopTheSteal is STILL a WINNING ELECTION POSITION for GOP members - not just in the party but in ACTUAL POLLS. Can you even imagine the momentum that Trump claiming there was a politically motivated partisan raid on his house would contribute to this?

stop the steal was a couple month long process, and trump still had a major platform to stoke the flames. hillary's emails are a near parallel (but on the offensive side of the ball instead of defensive for red team) and that train ran for years so we'll see, we're still in the first 24 hours. i agree with you that there is big potential but the circumstances are different. grassroot energy is certainly there though -- trump will be using this at all his rallies. will fox back him? is the question i ask. they want desantis now (and a lot of trumpers see him as a phony)

when i said roe v wade i meant more from the blue team side
