I'm not saying that Em was responsible for it, if anything he was just a byproduct of the era.
No doubt he's extremely talented and a legend but last time I revisited his classics that s*** irked me a bit.
yeah i think it was just part of the slang then, there werent as many gays back then i think so it was just a word
pretty sure i heard the word f4g in school before i even knew what s***was
but in ems case, those bars were only there to piss critics off
now i dont like those bars either tho (mmlp)
Niggas become experts on some s*** they know nothing about when Drake do something I’m crying lmao
A Drake poster (all of your threads are in Drake sxn, don't try to deny it) gets offended easily and thinks everything is about Drake, nice try.

Huh I thought I replied to this. My post disappeared??
There were just as many gays back then man, they just stayed closeted bc of the embarrassment that was attached to it (which was completely unjustified ofc) at the time.
Takeover was the Duppy of its time only ever mentioned as the precursor to an Iconic diss.
"But guys it's the better song" but HOV already had great songs he needed a great diss
200% facts

maybe you right
Can’t believe Jay started crying over a song
you never cried listening to a song?

I've heard that he uses not to bash gays but to basically emasculate his opponent (this in essence is still homophobic but that train of thought wasn't mainstream back then I assume)
Let's note that he was white and couldn't use "nigga" like other black rappers to insult or just place it here and there for rhyme/rhythm purposes... So that might have played a part too in the f word being his go to insult for men.
you never cried listening to a song?
Not over a diss bro caught feelings being called a camel

This post doesn’t make any sense. Why would I be offended and it was about drake. Im laughing at how you became a body language expert overnight lmao
well comparatively speaking he aint really wrong. nas isn't mentioned nearly as much as jay and he has indeed fallen out of the top 10. Jay is still top 3.

yeah its a bit silly when u picture him sitting there crying

You don't have to be a body language expert to notice when someone is stumbling over his words/being nervous whilst addressing a specific topic...

you're a f***in moron

Sorry dude I know you love Drake but he practiced that s*** in the mirror. I can tell when someone isn't acting natural. Drake was on his actor s***.
😂 he did
But now he claims "it was just the Neptunes beats".. even tho he never praised Kelis, JT, NERD, Snoop, etc like Tyler did
hey i mean to be fair he did say that Pharrell was his #1, not Pusha

Where?
He listed Lord Willin' among his top 5 fav rap albums, and bought Pusha's mic, never saw a Pharrell mention.

I feel like he’s in all time discussions just as often if not more often

oh theres an interview he did when he was a teen and he says that pharrell is his #1 inspiration, dont think he mentioned clipse
Ether is generally considered the GOAT diss track and it still did no damage to Hov’s career whatsoever.

Lol I can't find it
I found 2 Lord Willin' mentions that's all
However I found out that the critics intially described Drake as "intelligent, clean-cut, non-violent, non-drug oriented" holy s***

F*** outta here

So you created another world in your mind where you imagine drake rehearsing lines for an interview. That’s what we call delusion but you’re also a body language expert so it makes sense.
