Shadowbringers really made me realize just how emotionally attached I've become to my WoL
316 hours will do that to you huh
Just finished 5.0.
That was actually incredible. I have no words, I'll try to collect my thoughts later but that may have been one of the most successfully executed stories/themes I've seen in a video game. Just wow.
Make sure to see 5.3. The .3 patches are usually the true endings and .4 and .5 are set ups for the next expansion

I've heard some really good things about 5.3, can't wait to jump back in soon
thought I was progressing super fast because of the double EXP from being on a preferred server
just realized I'm at like level 20 on the MSQ but my conjurer is level 33, goddamn this is gonna take awhile
Well. I uninstalled this.
Made it to Heavensward and I don’t think this s*** for me.
Questing is too easy.
MSQ is too much reading, go here, talk to this person, occasional dungeon, rinse repeat.
Feel like I’m autopilot playing it

I can easily understand why you don't like it. The monotony of questing in this game can get pretty heavy.
I will say though you dropped it right when it starts to get really good, story/character/combat wise.
man, really need to get into raiding/endgame stuff. the anxiety of doing that s*** with randoms doesn't help
wasn't aware this was active. guess we back
Damn the game really calling me back.
Killed Titan today, hit level 50 on WHM as well
making progress slowly but surely.

Start with extremes bro, the barrier to entry is smaller, just join a "practice from start" party and you will be good. All you need to do is watch a guide for the fight that you want to do and try to remember the mechanics for the fights
This is also a good website if you want to start raiding since it teaches you how to play jobs optimally and openers for jobs. Once you learn how to do an opener all you gotta do is carry on with your rotation from there. Knowing your rotation makes fights a lot easier cause you can pay more attention to the fight and less attention to the buttons you're pressing.

word, thanks man. used to have no issues raiding in stuff like destiny back in the day, but now i want nothing to do with randoms
fortunately i'm a rdm, so getting super efficient shouldn't be much of an issue. once i finish some stuff up from work in these upcoming weeks, i should be ready to focus on playing more ffxiv
would you say ffxiv is your "main" game?

Right now it definitely is yeah I have like 2.5k hours on this, I think my "main games" tend to be multiplayer games that I constantly return to.
Previously it was Destiny 2 and now its ffxiv. Think what I love about it is that theres no time gatting like D2 and that theres no system that will put you behind if you dont play every week so I can actually still play other games like SMT3 and not worry about losing progress in another game. Honestly its perfect for me since I have so many games in my backlog, if i still played D2 I would make no progress on my backlog at all since it wants me playing every day

yeah, pretty much used to be the same for me. now i just find random games to play between the games i'm actually looking forward to, so i'd really like to main ffxiv
as for d2, i'm sure bungie's backwards ass decisions helps keep you off the game as well

Bungies decision making definitely helped, I remember when they said they were gonna sunset weapons; the community said they didnt want that s*** and then these niggas pretty much said "well we gonna do that s*** anyway, this is a good idea trust me". Not even a year later these idiots revert sunsetting and where like "dam maybe this s*** wasn't a good idea after all" 0head developers I swear
The game is really f***ing good too which is why it annoys me even more
I pretty much stopped playing after the whole sunsetting news, havent even touched the new DLC yet

it's always 1 step forward, 5 steps back with them, unfortunately. game is honestly one of a kind, and very few games do what it does (for better or worse lol), but the decision making gets in the way of making it a 10/10 imo.
haven't really touched it much either. think the last time i actually played for more than an hour was over a year ago
here's to hoping i get perma hooked onto ffxiv
I'm still completing the ARR MSQ, but damn I'm already having anxiety for late game raids. Being a healer is stressful asl in this, or it might just be that I don't have access to all my skills yet that makes me feel that way.
I've noticed a lot of tanks who do wall-to-wall pulls and I'm barely keeping up heals-wise. Barely enough of a buffer to DPS when I should be getting those attacks in, and my MP is getting annihilated during boss pulls.
Guess I just need to get good
When I was creating my WoL, I assumed the name to show up would be my PSN name. So I named him after myself. I have a character running around with my actual name and s***
I'm 100% buying a name change before endwalker.

Hope you have fun man, the fights are really entertaining, plus the way they look visually + the music pretty much keeps me coming back too. Theres this sense of accomplishment you get when you finally beat one for the first time thats pretty similar to when you beat a Dark Souls bosses which is probably why I love them so much.
Plus I like the whole leaderboards/logs thing cause I like competitiveness in multiplayer games

Im not a healer main (only got 1 to 80) but healers are pretty strange to play when you are low level, just stick with it and you will get more healing tools later on to make things easier. Make sure to dps and place dots whenever you get the chance since healer dps is important too

Yeah, I think the problem is that I don't have most of my MP regen abilities yet. I have to rely heavy on Cure II for bosses, which drains the f*** out of my mana pool.
Apparently, in end-game, you're barely ever supposed to use Cure II to heal and use oGCD's instead, but I just haven't gotten to that point yet.
