na, that's just what calling it a satire is predicated on. the freddy got fingered comparison would make more sense if the intention is to subvert and parody existing tropes. but if it's merely about "acknowledging" and providing "reflections" on a new phenomenon as opposed to making an actual statement then i can see why using generative AI was deemed acceptable instead of developing an aesthetic created by human artists in its entirety.

Many of the uses I've seen of AI in film have been out of pure laziness. Even in some of the instances where it was a legitimate tool to aid animators. No matter what benefit it has to the process of filmmaking, it is ultimately being used because filmmakers who use AI are trying to cut corners/costs. Lazy.
