Pretty much all the side quests in the last 20% of the game have been really solid. Idk how these are considered side quests.
Even non + ?
Anyone here who beat can confirm that it falls apart in the end?
I’m 60% and it’s getting bonkers but in a good way because some of the story takes itself too seriously . When I asked about ending one of them said they liked it

I liked the ending, I don't think it falls apart but its some standard jrpg s***

Yup. I think the point where you go to Kanver onwards, I've enjoyed pretty much all of em quite a bit. I was slightly annoyed because I'm on the last quest right now, a bunch of side quests popped up and I really wanna see how it ends, but with the character development and some minor worldbuilding in the side quests, I'm happy I decided to knock them out before finishing the game. Some really good moments in there for sure.

Will be sure to do basically all before end . On new game plus they all respawn though and if I don’t do some it would be nice to do them on new game plus for first time for final fantasy mode . Next goal is get strongest weapon
what an ending..... it was all worth it. that boy done did it. FF16 should be game of the year, if it isn't then well, it's game of the year in my heart. that was absolutely gorgeous

God, the greatest enemy in JRPG history
Hmmm final boss ? I mean use tags if needed but guessing
Re4 doesn’t deserve a nom with this many new games
i like what i like :)
Making for Kanver once I complete this I may just marathon sidequest with podcast all week lol
i like what i like :)
oh I am saying overall I get you we all have our personal I am not knocking that. I am saying I don't think any remake this year with nominated at most places because its such a stacked year.
that "not a real final fantasy" discourse looks silly in the light, this game was final fantasy as f***
choosing whether to advance the story or marathon side quest is such a difficult decision at all times

Story wise yes but in gameplay elements mixed results to me . I have only played and watched so much final fantasy though. Its definitely different vibes. If the same team were to do a mainline entry or dlc I would hope they incorporate more
Compared to the ff7 remake’s combat system, I prefer the way this game does its skill attacks/actions—but I still wish there was more of a party system. The customizable is relatively lacking for the weapon upgrade and skill availability too :/ with that being said—great environments, plot, atmosphere, and music score so far. Sorta balances things out to be a great experience despite some ‘flaws’

Gameplay wise yes it deviates completely, felt so weird hitting fire bomb with fire and doing actual damage lol, everything else about as final fantasy as it gets
the story had to grow on me ngl i was indifferent about it after a certain major part but i like it a lot now i've seen it's conclusion, i see the vision

I think if they worked in more RPG elements. Better Weapon upgrade, elementals, Party system and sometimes playing as other characters (just where it feels fitting) it would all land more. Obviously Side quest variety and working in more things . So far Clive isn't hitting enough to entirely carry the story while also not talking to the other party members enough outside of cut scenes. Like you are so often with them in battle or traveling without speaking enough

I mean in general how most jrpgs really just go all out
