Dont care for the HUD design tbh. Reminds me of mobile game UI and some generic HUD pulled from action games that came out 3-4 generations ago
UI is literally one of the last things finalized in games so there’s a chance that it could be altered.

I hope thats the case
is this a timed exclusive and will be on xbox or is it like 7 remake and won’t ever be on xbox ?
FF14's takeover is for sure a resurgence in the brand.
But i dont notice that much of a difference in the hype for 16 compared to the hype around 15, or especially 13 and 7R. Could be wrong. Idk
I’ve seen a lot of skepticism from normies who aren’t really familiar with the pedigree of the development team behind XVI or who have somehow overlooked the strong vision for the game communicated through the marketing material.
Between XIV, VII Remake, and XVI, the Final Fantasy brand is in the finest form it’s been in since the PS2 era.

They’ve got it so right for all 3 games.
Shifting Nomura & Tabata away has helped them massively.
Yoshi P really is just doing it his way, and it’s working out well especially at the moment. Promos to the point, we know the story, lore etc. FF15 had none of that, they changed it all with months to go.
Don’t get me started on FF13’s 3 part mess.
I’m still worried where Nomura’s going with FF7R but that’s for another day and place to moan about.
i'm very in but there's something about this game that isn't gripping me how i thought it would
oh yeah show me your room then i’m a real gamer idiot
can confirm this guy lives and breathes this s*** his console of choice don't change that

The messy development and launch of XV were a failure of Square's management, not Nomura or Tabata. Square didn't learn their lesson from having XIII and XIV 1.0 be developed on the undercooked Crystal Tools engine and insisted on moving Versus XIII over to the equally broken Luminous engine. The game was in development hell for so long that it was rebranded in to XV for marketing purposes and then rushed out to recoup development costs.
It honestly sucks that Square took Nomura's passion project away from him and tanked Tabata's reputation when they tasked him to pick up the pieces. Square gave both of these men a very raw deal.
This video is the most comprehensive review of XV's development that currently exists if you're interested:

Regarding VII Remake, my gut reaction was to pin the direction of its narrative on Nomura as well but it's actually being determined by Kitase and Nojima (but I don't feel like getting in to that right now).

I think the most annoying ones are the ones are the long-time fans who seem to think that the game is gonna just be a character action game, despite it being reiterated on again and again that the game is semi-open world with explorable towns and everything.

nah man, it's all Nomura's fault
Seriously though, glad you pointed that out. Bit tired of seeing Nomura get s*** for something that was completely the fault of the execs at Square. XV's development was truly a mess. Really hate to see that we didn't get Nomura's original vision of Noctis. Though, guess we may be getting something close to that in the KH games.
Also, the same with what you mentioned with FF7R lol. Definitely sounds like it would've been Nomura, but I was surprised to see that wasn't the case.
Final Fantasy XV didn't happen.
over hated. Sank 150 hours into it. I’m due for one more final play through.

I joke the main final fantasy I played was tactics advanced. Then JRPG or RPG since they dont like the J in front is Ni No kuni. But I think i am in for this

ffxv has a ton of great ideas, just slightly messy execution that got fixed in royal

What does royal fix?

Yes it did, they did the best they could with what little time Square gave them
