game looks fantastic. with the final fantasy 14 team and devil may cry battle director behind it i have no doubts this won’t be 9/10
Couldn't agree more.
I'm actually glad they're stepping away from the main team.
Shows as well they're fully dedicated to getting FF7R finished.
Win/Win
This story looks like the worst of all the series from the vibes I got from the trailer
Can’t be worse than 15

Medievil FF?
Not the stupid Nomura sci-fi s*** anymore.
Course they'll hopefully bump up the graphics, but this is probably my fav looking FF since 12. Plus the character need a bit more diversity, all do look the same. Hoping they've got some exciting ones to come.
Plus yeah it does sound like a bit of the FF14 team woking on this with the Devil May Cry producer
I'm glad they're going back to their roots. They were moving to far in the future. Even though I kind of wanted a mech FF mainline game but seeing as they're done doing turn based mainline games I'll take going back to medieval.
Exactly what I love about it so far with the setting.
Beyond happy Nomura isn't apart of it.
Ifrit vs Phoenix. Or each faction having their own Eikon is gassing me.

Don't want to bore people.
But Yoshida has been involved with this since 2016, so it could be released sooner than we think. Also going off the May leak that this was meant to be involved in June's PS5 event, they stated this has been in development for a long time.
This is what he said last year.
"Yoshida himself said in a February 2019 interview: "I’d like to see a Final Fantasy that is straightforward fantasy, one that doesn’t have much machinery, and with no mecha in it." It's a funny way to say "this is the kind of Final Fantasy game I'm currently developing.""
Unpopular opinion I loved FFXV - the characters were fantastic and I loved the combat, graphics, open world etc
the whole group of friends travelling was a cool idea

The summoning was totally weird I give you that. It worked 70% of the time.
wow i totally believe this!
Really cool a***ysis.
Never realised this game had so much blood in it, most definitely be the first M rated Final Fantasy.
I liked his talk about the time jump from younger main character to older, so what we seen was probably the very beginning. Or do we keep switching?
Garuda, Titan & Phoenix our character seems to use in battle.
So we probably select which Summon we want to equip, so that changes our fighting styles?
Only one element of each Eikon in the game, as indicated when the guy shouts "A second Eikon of Fire! But that's impossible"
Fire - Phoenix/Ifrit
Ice - Shiva
Earth - Titan
Wind - Garuda
Who else do we want?

XV was good especially royal edition. The lack of difficulty and over a decade of hype def hurt it tho.

I hope your right because 12 is one of my favorites. And plus this is only the first trailer so I’ll just wait to see more. Plus we got the VII remake sequels to bring on the anime vibes

Yeaaah man this 16 seems like the traditional Western RPG, proper OG NES vibes.
I'm going to restart 7 again soon, s*** is phenomenal
