Started playing the original for the first time this year. I just hope we get an announcement soon so I can decide if I want to hold out for the remake before finishing the game.

Wasn't a fan of what I saw in the 7 remake, so if it's anything like that I'll stick it out with the remaster.

I would 100% just play the original tbh, it’s not super long and when the remake eventually drops you’ll be able to appreciate it as its own experience. OG is a special gamd for sure

If they do Chrono Trigger or FF Tactics I wonder if they’ll do them HD-2D style (a la Octopath)?

If it’s Criss Core style I could see it dropping late next year.

So basically they’re going to give this and 10 the crisis core treatment ? With the graphics being updated to todays standard but the core gameplay being the same?

8 is the most divisive FF after 13 and 9 was the throwback/retro game so they probably wanna do it just to have some variety in their line up.
