My point is that if your new content sucks and your remakes are better you lean into the remakes.

As far as I've played, it's been the best FF in a long, long while. And while I cant speak on an ending I havent seen it is only part of the full experience yet to come out.

No I havent, this is my first time with FF7 in general. If the ending is bullshit I'll call it like I see it but I still dont think itll be enough to tank the whole experience for me. I still like most of mass effect 3 even if the ending is trash.

It's hard for me to comprehend that the ending is so bad it would not only ruin this game but the next one or two that follow it. It might be some bullshit, but theres also more story to be told so unless it's the worst ending in history I feel like the hatred for it is a tad overkill.

Now that's something I havent heard. if the game ended at midgar and no other parts are released I could certainly see why people would be mad. I'll just have to see it when i get there. I can understand why they'd change things up to keep veterans of the series on their toes

and tbh you should definitely try the OG its really worth it if you dont mind how aged it is hope you'll enjoy the rest of the game too

I reached the ending and whilst the story might be a mess it doesn't invalidate how fun the game was prior to the ending. Actually even the ending was really fun and I found it to be one of the most hype moments in the game, everything to the boss fight, music and transitions between gameplay and cutscenes was amazing. Yeah the story is complete s*** at the end but I had fun playing it. and btw I played and finished the OG FF7 before you ask.

I mean the game seems fun for most people, but why make a remake of FF7 rather than a new title then, if the gameplay is excellent why not write a great story that is all new to go with it ? It just feels like a big cash grab to me to attach the FF7 name to this game, I've felt like that since the announcement of the game, I just hate the idea of remakes tbh

Because it's easier to make a remake than a new title, and Square Enix just isn't how it was before, I really doubt they are capable of making the FF games that people want at this point.

Then again, I never played FF XIV but I always see praise for this game and I heard that the story is really amazing, so if anything I think the team that worked on XIV should work on a new FF game. Problem is that XIV is a live service game so I don't see that team ever working on anything else other than XIV

I’m on the same lvl as you dude. I knew 5 hrs into XV I wasn’t digging it. I knew VII REMAKE was great by Ch. 3 and I’m only on chapter 3 lol. Yeah the ending to VII might be bad ( i don’t know but that’s what everybody’s saying) but look at it like this. One games story is entirely bad while the others story only the ending is bad
