Not sure how I feel about this
The world-building was great, amazing music, good gameplay
But jeez la weez they really dropped the ball with the last 2 chapters story-wise
Part of me understands that it's too early to judge the ending since it all depends on what they decide to do with it
...The other part of me understands that this is Nomura we're talking about here, who has a less than stellar track record when it comes to story.
its nice seeing more people play the real game
replayed it back in january for the first time in like a decade :datass:
almost got every achievement too except for these

the gil one is dumb af. you can buy everything you need with like 2 mil so getting a billion is just pointless grinding.
level 99 and mastering ALL materias is also just grind and i didnt even know aeris had a 4th limit break tbh.
tifa my favorite to play as so far
It's something about aerith that I just don't give a f*** about her
Im thinking its the voice she just sounds like an airhead

I wasn't feeling her either, kinda didn't like playing with her too just cause her dodge bothers me a lot lol

I got the platinum on PS4 but I don't remember some of these trophies, this on PC?
bruh the whole final battle simulation gave me an aneurysm, f*** bahamut f*** ifrit f*** pride and joy
You guys is Those Who Fight the best battle music track in video game history?
Fairly certain it is and it’s not even close.

Her 4th limit is unlockable by doing some convoluted side quest once you get the buggy iirc

Got her last limit break my playthru when it released on switch. Impossible to reach the requirements without cheesing the first disc hard nice buff tho but by the time you get it you wont really need the buff.
Rufus boss fight might be one of my favs in this, they made that nigga cool as s***, I don't remember him like that in the OG

I actually liked her personality but her play style i think suffers the most from the shift from turn based. It makes sense for her to be less agile than everyone else but she needs a lil more something to make her worth playing. Im kinda curious how cait sith would play for similar reasons. I mean he already kinda sucks but he could be really bad unless they make it worth it.

The enemy AI design don't make her viable either cause its designed to target who ever you are controlling.
Feel like Aerith was designed to support allies from range and deal damage from range. Problem is that because of the enemy AI, upon switch to Aerith you only have a few second to do whatever it is that you want to do from range because the enemies will close up on you after they realise you switched characters.
They really need to have better AI on the next game

a bit long but definitely worth it, made me more itnerested in playing the game I guess
this guy's channel is very good too

i kinda love this in these old games tho, there's just so many things that are not necessary but still feel nice to unlock and actually require effort to unlock

Then you must love chapter 9 everybody s***s on her in that chapter

Yea the ai is garbage really limits possibility for strategy. Kinda sad bc in og ff7 i like to use aerith to nuke but that doesnt work here. Hope they fix things as the game opens up and we’re able to min/max and they make the ai more complex.

Idk I stopped at her giving a tour of the slums, slow walking and talking to every damn local we pass
Like b**** I'm tryna get home and you making me go on errands with you and s***, almost lost my damn mind
kinda makes me wanna see a FF8R just to have a more fleshed out version of that universe since it's so unique and weird

for just generic random encounter themes FF9 and FF6 got it beat
if we talking about any battle theme including unique/boss themes then FF7 itself has much better songs like jenova/those who fight further/one winged angel/birth of a god

Yeah everyone I raise this to basically says the same thing as your second paragraph. I can almost never find someone who shares the same opinion =(
I always though those who fight further was hideously underrated as a musical composition. I truly believe it is levels upon levels above any other song in FFVII when it comes to technical structure. And that’s saying a lot because FFVII is my favorite OST of all time, so no disrespect to the other songs. I always just saw those who fight as literal genius level music writing.
