Seems to be a recurring thing. Apparently the booth stuff in the movie critic was birthed from the original ouatih script having wayyyyy more booth stuff he took out as the script changed shapes

Imagine being in his mind when he’s writing, must be a whole cocaine fueled universe of branching path ideas

Bro that’s a fact cus he writes long as hell lmao

Remember how inglorious Basterds originally had a Killer Crow chapter? And it was so long that he was either gonna make the entire thing a limited series or do a solo Killer Crows movie

I remember with Kill Bill he said for every scene he would write out literally any and every scenario that could happen and then picked the best one

Yup lol nigga said “this won’t work, Django is a good guy so the audience will know he’s not the killer”

Even that whole “murder mystery” took a new shape cus the “murder mystery” doesn’t happen until passed the halfway mark unlike actual murder mysteries where they happen during the first act

    Zorro vs Django

Dude usually loses interest and/or pivots when writing sequels, which makes this even crazier lol

Him losing interest kinda seems to match up with what the articles are saying. That Brad begged him to do it and “here I’ll even get Fincher to direct it”

Lmaooooo bro just tryna find any loophole wit that 10 movie rule s***

I am super curious what Django vs Zorro would be being he was writing it with Carmichael or having him direct?

I also wanna know what Carmichael x Safdies 48 hours remake would’ve looked like

Lmaooooo nigga gonna change the characters names and wardrobe a little

If you could pick one unproduced script to be made which one?

  • WT777

Was super let down on first watch in theaters for once upon a time cuz I was expecting a movie more focused on the Manson murders which I thought it was gonna escalate into once cliff booth went over there

S*** was a classic on rewatch tho, both of em

Yeah, I felt similarly, I was like why does he keep cutting to these boring Western clips that nobody gives a f*** about? Super great hangout movie on rewatch. One of his best.

  • I see @op removed that “April fools?” from the title

  • I do think Tarantino needs to get out of his OUATIH phase. It seems like since then everything he writes stems from Hollywood.

He was gonna do that Lancer mini series. And now his movie critic script, which I thought was a new idea, morphed into a Cliff solo.

    Must have been tough.

Figured he would have just put it out as a book or something. Never would have thought he'd be cool with another director raising his kid.

Every article talking about this is so vague that I doubt it'll actually happen

"we hear that this may happen"

the OUATIH vibe in general doesn't really fit finch!

bright blooming blown out a***og sunbeaten LA shot on 35mm. caricaturesque type broad and loud characters

now in the hands of someone who shoots super succinct cold methodical and clinical, sometimes desaturated, always on digital cameras.

reports said brad had the idea to give it to fincher after reading it tho. he's been a producer on a lot of great stuff, seemingly has the brain/eye for making movies come together, i kinda trust him tbh. maybe the script is a total departure. could be a gritty 70s thriller just tangentially following the first movie, and using Cliff Booth as the protagonist again

I deleted my comment because I kinda conflated Tarantino‘s world with the character, but you got at what I was feeling

Insane for Netflix to announce this on April 1st

It’s Tarantino, nothing is ever for sure.
