the OUATIH vibe in general doesn't really fit finch!

bright blooming blown out a***og sunbeaten LA shot on 35mm. caricaturesque type broad and loud characters

now in the hands of someone who shoots super succinct cold methodical and clinical, sometimes desaturated, always on digital cameras.

reports said brad had the idea to give it to fincher after reading it tho. he's been a producer on a lot of great stuff, seemingly has the brain/eye for making movies come together, i kinda trust him tbh. maybe the script is a total departure. could be a gritty 70s thriller just tangentially following the first movie, and using Cliff Booth as the protagonist again

The descriptions for movie critic always gave me a more darker vibe.

Hear me out Booth is a psycho underneath that cool chill demeanor, me thinks if this comes to light we d see a wayyyyyy different side of him and the tone would probably be way different, could easily be a more brooding Fincheresque Pic depending on the story

99% chance it’s a Tarantino talky wacky script, this is the clash of style I’m thinking about

after this, fincher will have directed scripts by both tarantino and sorkin two talky script yap dialogue extraordinaires

Right. If anything Sorkin is a little crazier.

    Fincher is inevitable. We good

Sure sure, but scripts tend to warp to fit the directors perspective/vision as it translates from paper to film

A scene with booth shooting the s*** with 70s music blaring in back ground could easily be recontextualized under finchers vision to be something far more tense and from the perspective of booths train of thought for instance ya feel me

Lol people think Fincher is all dark and gloom Fight Club. Nah he proved he can handle a dialogue heavy screenplay, one that was like 180 pages long.

for sure I am hopeful in that way, Pitt & Finchers record together is basically flawless
