so many people use the wrong tactic when recommending some artists to people. you need to pick one song and it has to be the right one.

for example, when you want to get someone hooked onto fiona, always use this song. been tested many times before

Fiona Apple is music for the Elizabeth Warren professional liberal whose political moment is yaas queening movie stars who had to touch a p**** in 2003. It's a politics of me and my that can only relate to the suffering of a class they aspire to. In fact, not unlike Warren, Fiona herself has tried to claim POC status through Melungeon ancestry despite her fair skin and blue eyes opening doors that remain closed for ethnic minorities. On Fetch the Bolt Cutters, Fiona wants to shatter glass ceilings, but seizing something the world was designed to hand you isn't revolutionary. Apple's Pantsuit Anthem has musical merit but the suffering fueling her outcry is a brunch affectation in this world full of actual pain.

    I find this extremely lazy

Normally I’m all for “fuck privileged white women and their thoughts on the world” but this a***ysis applies more towards Lana Del Rey’s newest album

Fionas lyrics are always centered towards her experiences in life and not some sweeping generalization masquerading as truth that a number of white female artists have lately been doing.

Last two aren't clicking for me like some of the others

Only reason I wouldn't give this a perfect score.

On I Go is one of my favorites, sounds like some Swans stuff
