is this a white hipster girl album like billie ellish?
Fiona won her first Grammy in 1998. Since then has continuously released classic music. So no.

yeah it's exactly like billie eilish
The choir of Fiona’s on For Her is so god damn amazing, it’s so pleasing to listen to, it’s like every version of Fiona coming together when she speaks

Unrelated but Billie's taste in music is so boring and basic
Legit 2000's Hot Topic/mall punk and "non intimidating" hip hop like Tyler and Gambino lol

I give her credit for originality in her own music and she's got an amazing voice. 10 years from now a bunch of new female artists will be citing her and Lorde as influences
But her presence reminds me of a sanitized Fiona which isn't shocking given her music taste. I only fw a few of her songs. For the most part, her sound has edge to it but it doesn't seem authentic
Outro of Heavy Balloon is crazy addictive
On I Go and For Her grew on me the most. I mean there is no weak link on this album. I can honestly say this album could last a while maybe even years before someone tops it
I’m just thinking man, there have been so many releases this year and albums that just keep knocking off whatever my album of the year is so far. Let’s just think about this for a second as far as anticipated releases from big names who don’t release often. We’ve gotten albums from Jay Electronica, The Strokes, Fiona Apple, Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, Childish Gambino, Grimes, Tame Impala, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Mac Miller, Green Day, Lil Uzi, Yves Tumor, King Krule..... all in the span of like 3ish months. Holy s***, and i’m sure i’m forgetting some.
The first song is so good I thought it was a cover of an older song. I thought there was no way someone was writing like that in present day. That set the tone for the album

Same. I feel like I always end up with a 5-10 list of albums every year that i love and can never order. Music is too dynamic and animate in that way, certain albums i’ll love in the beginning of the year, not go back to for months, then love even more for different reasons. Things like that happen literally constantly. I just appreciate all this fantastic music above all, i’m really happy overall with everything we’ve got so far. So many artists have delivered and more
