lmao how did I never find out the leaked version of Extraordinary Machine is a completely different album? I've long heard about it leaking but I never heard this smh, it's incredible, and so much better than whatever I've listened to. This is what I expected when hearing it was her Jon Brion album

Just go backward. Idler wheel is my fav from her. And that was her last one before bolt cutters.

Idler Wheel is the closest to this albums sound but I'd recommend listening to When The Pawn after or before

honestly, you can't really go wrong. Tidal is great, When The Pawn is great, Idler Wheel is great, the only one I thought lacked in comparison was Extraordinary Machine and even that I just found out is a really great album if you listen to the right version (see my post above)

I'd say the first three are relatively similar, Idler Wheel was the most she got to a departure I think, def her most experimental in many ways I think, but even that is quite accessible overall.

Just sample some songs and see what appeals to you most
