I Want You to Love Me and Fetch the Bolt Cutters aren’t getting enough love
she has some of her best lines in those songs
The first song is so good I thought it was a cover of an older song. I thought there was no way someone was writing like that in present day. That set the tone for the album
lmao how did I never find out the leaked version of Extraordinary Machine is a completely different album? I've long heard about it leaking but I never heard this smh, it's incredible, and so much better than whatever I've listened to. This is what I expected when hearing it was her Jon Brion album

this album is the first I've heard from her and i fw it a lot. any suggestions on where to go next in the discog?

Just go backward. Idler wheel is my fav from her. And that was her last one before bolt cutters.
album amazing

I would start from the beginning to see how she transitioned from piano-heavy ballads to what she's done in her last 2 albums

Idler Wheel is the closest to this albums sound but I'd recommend listening to When The Pawn after or before
I can't stop playing I Want You to Love Me
She really never misses with her opening tracks:
Sleep to Dream
On the Bound
Extraordinary Machine
Every Single Night
I Want You to Love Me
I hope fiona finally decides to read up on social media and see how much we appreciate this album

honestly, you can't really go wrong. Tidal is great, When The Pawn is great, Idler Wheel is great, the only one I thought lacked in comparison was Extraordinary Machine and even that I just found out is a really great album if you listen to the right version (see my post above)
I'd say the first three are relatively similar, Idler Wheel was the most she got to a departure I think, def her most experimental in many ways I think, but even that is quite accessible overall.
Just sample some songs and see what appeals to you most

I'm sure her friends tell her about all the love she's getting

When the pawn should be the last album let's be real

this is ridiculously good lol
Epic Records really clowned big time shelving this. Like 6 listens in I think this might actually be my 2nd fave after Fetch now
