love both. Life is Good more raw to me though

man Jay had some duds too around this time but his hit making ability, the album sales and the lane he was in cancelled that s*** out.
Cuz of illmatic and the lane Nas was in, his s*** had to be DAMN NEAR PERFECT EVERY TIME.
Nas' sales were as good as Jay's up until Jay rebranded as Beyonce's husband anyway, but revisionist historians don't know that
It Was Written, Lost Tapes, Stillmatic and God's Son were all damn near perfect albums too.

Used to be mentor to Nick Grant back in the day and we used to listen to I Am all the time in my best friend's studio and we studied that s*** down to a T lol. the album was amazing to us at the time lol.

I enjoy King's Disease even more than Life Is Good nowadays.. album is almost flawless and flows seamlessly imo.
