Big Tech is practically destroying America. Parents are clueless and letting devices and the internet raise their kids rather than themselves. Nobody will admit it, but this is the root of most of these problems.

It is man I was talking with my friends about f***ing in 4th grade. only later on I‘ve realized how crazy that s*** is tbh

the fact the school's reaction was to cover it up and they never even notified the victim's family makes this so much more insane

Correct me if I'm wrong: but there is absolutely no reason for a child to have unhinged internet access and an iPhone at a young age. The internet that most of us grew up on isn't even comparable to what it is nowadays. You had to specifically go out of your way and know where to find vile disturbing content. Nowadays it's just a click or two away from the feed on social networking homepages.

It's fully big tech's fault for this, they knew the damages that this technology could do, and they chose to ignore for profit.

    The mental gymnastics

XXX has always been synonymous with p***ography, go ahead and simply google “xxx” all p*** results

    triple-X
    /ˌtripəlˈeks/
    adjectiveINFORMAL
    adjective: XXX
relating to or denoting p***ography of an explicit or extreme nature.

I don’t need to know whose in your profile pic to know it’s of a provocative nature , she’s wearing lingerie, at the very least a very revealing outfit for the sake of s***appeal

This story is awful but to go around calling people r€ards and talking about the normalization of “sexual bs” but literally contributing to it is just so damn ironic

this is beyond insane. this would be basically beyond reprehensible regardless of age but doing that at 6 adds an extra layer to this. simply unnatural - you can't understand even remotely the concept and gravity of these things at such an age. complete and total failure of their families to guide their lives and teach them, the fact this behavior surfaced as a failure of their environment as early as age 6 is beyond absurd. honestly at a loss for words one this one

I feel like this has to be learned behavior.

I like almost agree with you. The internet's not comparable to what we grew up with, but it wasn't hard to come across disturbing content. I mean I was pranking people with meatspin, tubgirl, goatse, bluewaffle, you know on and on. Forums would get raided all the time where people would make tons of threads with wild s***. Saw a picture still scarred me to this day.

But I think a huge difference is, I saw that on my computer at home after school or some s***. No one else in my class had to see that s***. Lot of them didn't know to use a computer. The ones that did knew basic internet literacy. Not to believe everything we see, not to give out our personal information, that type of s***.

Now, everyone has a computer in their hands at all times. And none of them have any internet literacy. And they can't stay off of it. Now everyone's seeing images of dead bodies across their twitter feed. S*** imagine the average screentime of kids these days, and then imagine you spending that same amount of time in your room on your computer. It's not possible, cuz at least you'd have to leave the screen and go to school or socialize. Now the screens with them at all times and they use it to socialize. We were told never to put our personal information online, they're playing out their whole personal life online.

idk i'm high and rambling but i guess my points the difference between now and then is that there's been an explosion of users online in the last decade, users that can be online all the time, with so many not being aware of the power and dangers of the internet.

yeah i think if we could redo it, social media wouldn’t be accepted for any kid under the age of 14 tbh

smartphones/devices didn’t become normal until i was like 10-11 , these kids are literally raised on it during the worst possible era to be exposed to social media. They are cooked and i feel bad for em

I guess it’s just a question if it’s a matter of personal experience (ie molestation) or p*** exposure.

The fact that multiple kids participated makes it utterly bizarre. Like was one kid telling the others what to do?

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anything like this. Not this young.
