Id like someone to name these current Memphis artists you claim are beating future, thug, baby, gunna etc etc
    Lmao

They not beating them in charts but me personally i bump Glock Dolph 30 Shiesty Scarr more now

It can change and im not saying they passed Atl in legacy but a respectable movement that you can argue for

his last album did 110k first week. and yeah i live in memphis tho so i’m biased

Also Atlanta still has a lot of good new talent they just aren’t blowing up post Baby/Gunna era because the city isn’t together and supportive as it used to be.

It’s a hella divided gang war here rn and the kids care more about being “steppers” than making money now.

Nah. NY don't f*** with Jersey like that outside of Jersey City and Hoboken.

Even the Outlawz rode with Pac during the "East Coast/West Coast" war.

    We're in our own bubble.

You mean the same Outlawz that were founded by Tupac and his cousin...? Of course they would ride with Tupac during the East-West beef lmao they were basically a West Coast group

I also don't buy that New York doesn't f*** with NJ cause NY was f***ing with Fetty Wap heavy, they still do, and he's from Paterson. NJ (North Jersey at least) and NY are still tight. NY just don't f*** with Joe Budden and that's cause he decided to beef with Wu-Tang lol

Oh I know but they did say they were from Jersey on Hit Em Up which I thought was pretty ironic.

I know NY's gonna f*** with our popular artists and Reggie cause of the Wu/Meth connection. But I meant that NJ's rap scene was always treated as separate from NY's unless there was heavy collaboration with NY artists.

I think Philly's rap scene is sort of the same way.

Of course. ATL sound been stagnant for 5 years now

NY keeps evolving rap and pushing the genre forward. We got the hottest dances, hottest summer anthems, best flows, best delivery, most charisma. I mean come on now

Imma say this too, New York gotta get better with giving some shine to cats from North Jersey. Cookie Kawaii and Cakes Da Killa would be great for the club scene, Cookie makes Jersey Club which is always hard, and Cakes be making house music. S*** is a vibe. Mir Fontane been out killing it all throughout Jersey and in Philly. Also Topaz Jones is the future forreal, that nigga incredible as an all around artist. S*** even Mach-Hommy should be getting some kinda play with all the connects he got with Jay Z and Griselda.

Bottom line, it doesn't have to always be f***in drill music. And NJ and NY used to be tight. Realistically NY, NJ, and Philly all gotta link back up and get the east coast really popping again.

    Real for topaz mention

Who’s a new big artist from NOLA? I’m genuinely curious, just can’t think of many (unless we’re counting Youngboy by proxy)
