i mean i use ableton but damn some of u be mad pretentious for no reason
Its unnecessarily complicated
an interface would be good, like a focusrite scarlet would help you
in the meantime, if your computer can handle 128 ms, probably don't go under that. i think that's quick enough to keep you on beat.
also, try using Edison to record. you'll need to switch the drop down button next to the record button to "On Play", and it will snap whatever you record to wherever you started recording in the song from. it's easy to drag and drop in
if all that doesn't help, maybe try a third party recording software like Reaper. never tried it but i heard it's great
you could say that about literally any DAW
Man shutup use what u wanna god damn use
Link me one of your tunes
im currently finishing my first one
will @ you when its done if you’re being serious
Ableton fam, what's the best way to record/move what you've made in Session view into Arrangement to make a full song. I used to copy and paste the clips into arrangement but I couldn't get it to flow with correct timing (I am completely new btw), but today found out I can drag a clip and press tab and drop into arrangement. Any help appreciated sorry to hijack OP

Dont record in FL man lmao
Theres no reason not to... s*** i prefer Logic but a DAWs a DAW mane.
I tried to change buffer size etc.. but still got these latency issues
My recorded vocals just jump around after recording, either theyre pushed back or put in a totally diff spot...
can anyone help please
I had the same prob, no matter what I did Id get the red alert sign saying the vsts that were being used were causing latency for recording even though they were already used previously and it was fine.
Never found a fix, I make my music on fl and when its time to record I use pro tools now
Dont listen to these clowns telling u download a diff DAW
Are u using an audio interface?
I use fl for recording vocals but have a jacked up laptop with 16gb ram and a scarlett soundcard..
U do need some gear when u get into recordin anything
I was using a razer laptop with a scarlett interface, these things are random and start happening randomly, my s*** was working fine and then boom
Dont record in FL man lmao
