not one of those pasty teens comes close to Byrne in terms of f***ing anything. they're the same person playing different instruments hit me up when one of them do an album as groovy as remain in light

I do agree with you on prog tho in a sense of these uk guitar players staying as pretentious as older gens, shouts fripp and them

I think a lot of people just got a bad taste of them from that goofy as MOVESSS WITH A PURPOSE meme ass song and then labeled them pretentious and never checked out anything else they ever made lmao

But they sound has evolved a lot since then

I remember bm doing more conceptual stuff on their latest, didn't really grab my attention but it was cool. and that dude they had in bcnr was nice on the last one, too bad he quit

mixing was a bit odd for sure on first listen, but the more I ran it the more I appreciated it. Their ceiling as a band is through the roof if they keep the trajectory up

oh no they can play. one thing I really wish they did tho is have more fun with their music; to me all of these guys are too self-serious and self-aware. a sad millennial vibe gets soooo played out with everything thats happening in the world. need disco to come back

Squid, Black Midi, Black County New Road, Dry Cleaning, Yves Tumour.

Wouldn't say unique as such, just good artists.

yeah def but its so refreshing you need to hear, its def one of the best albums in recent memory

its so crazy how there is a movement of these bands in the UK scene, all of them insanely talented doing top notch music from even from their first singles on and are affiliated too
