personally i don't smell the curry-like comparisons at all. i smell the smoked meat kind of, which i think comes from the metallic scent mixed with the spiciness (which i can see if associating w familiariy is almost like a eastern european blood sausage lol). that said to me it feels way more like a smoky resin on leather. it definitely is not fruity or airy like the original, which is fine i think, but i don't know what to make of it
