Try them out at a Nordstroms, Sephora or any other local perfume store and order online imo. The discounters in OP are way cheaper than retail and they carry most brands besides Chanel and some other ones.

Don't try more than around 10-15 fragrances back to back because everything will start to smell the same after a while lol. Give your nose some rest and come back later if you havent found something you really like.

Another tip would be to ask for a couple samples of the ones you like so you can try them on your skin and see if you actually like the fragrance and how it develops. The opening of a fragrance can trick you because that scent usually only lasts for around 10-15 minutes and then it starts to change as the topnotes disappear (not with every fragrance though, because there are also a lot of fragrances that are quite linear from opening to end/drydown).

And lastly, there are a lot of fragrance reviewers on youtube that do ''top 10 summer list'' ''top 10 winter list'' ''top 10 compliment getters'' etc, so that could possibly point you into the right direction.
