TUNDRA IVFinally made it back from the festival
I'll be short but that set was STRANGE
granted i'll preface by saying
Waited 4 hours (since Kali Uchis set through Bjork)
Stood awfully long
Didn't expect new music
Expected an intimate performance, so I didn't expect much jumping around
BUT
wow that set list/ reneditions/ setting up the LEDs/Set
was something
wasn't the worst set of my life
Novacane to start the show was mind blowing
Absolutely loved the Remix of Solo
Channel
Crystal killed it DJing
But this was disappointing man -- it just lacked cohesion and felt throughly mismanaged
Kind of crazy considering the other artists who performed this weekend who I saw were AMAZING (Jai Paul, Kaytra, Gorillaz, Burna Boy, Dinner Party, Metro Boomin)
And before you say I'm being divisive or not understanding, comparing this to the other acts I saw this weekend it's definitely towards the bottom just from an execution stand point
feels like the idea behind the set was good he just didn't do it properly

I believe his presence you are also paying for that as well. So to experience a dj set curated by people close to Frank Ocean with Frank Ocean would be an epic experience. Once again this is all personal. I just feel it’s a unique feeling to experience a feeling of something you enjoy with the person who made the song you enjoy but to experience them hear something they enjoy is also a really unique feeling as well. Once again just some of takeaways. Take it with a grain of salt.

I loved the Cameras being of different quality and the computer set up.. felt like FYF festival expanded. Was a bit restrictive on the viewing side initially due to the cameras viewing the main stage.

It’s not 2020 it’s now 2023 and we are not without an experience with Frank we just got a pretty unique experience that’s for sure.
