This is a very anticlimactic ending to the saga of Frank playing Coachella.

I remember this being rumoured in late 2019 on Inforoo when the lineup was him, Travis, and Rage Against The Machine.

Almost four years later, he finally performs, and it's a mess.

Being honest I would be HEATED if he bails on weekend two

at least i can rationalize him having an off day if he comes back harder weekend two. If he didn't show it would leave a bad taste as a fan ngl

I mean my hope is he does live stream it and can add some more songs to the set list

But I just feel that Frank will pull out. He’s never cared about pleasing anybody

I mean…she’s selling out stadiums every night around the world.

I didn’t see Frank doing that before and I definitely don’t see him doing it after this.

I hate her music and even I can see she cares more about putting on a show than Frank does. For her it’s a passion and for him it’s something irritating he had to get out the way because he promised the Coachella boss years ago that he would.

I think some people are so deep into the Frank lore that they feel like they cannot critique him by any means.

Not talking about the people who actually enjoyed the performance, but so many are deluded saying s*** like he is still grieving, this was personal, you're paying for his presence etc.

He is headlining the biggest festival in the world, he got paid for it, its not like they took him there by force.

The Frank Ocean mystique has been ruined for me a long time ago, but this is just absurd

She’s got the ability and she’s got the people on her side rn.

It’s different purposes of making music

Taylor makes music for the money and to be the biggest star and you don’t get that without pleasing your fans as much as possible

Frank is about the art and the music. He doesn’t care about pleasing anybody. He will take his time and do what he wants.

Not defending Taylor but if she went quiet for 7 years then booked a show she would sell out one staidium while actually being in it and could sell out another while playing the live feed from the first

Him teasing the NOLA bounce and some electronic rhythms missed because the people in attendance are not familiar with that S*** at all.

Felt like a teaser/ feeler out for if he dropped that club inspired follow up to blonde before the pandemic.

One thing I found really cool about the performance was it made me realize even more how unreal his songwriting is
Hearing those arrangements and how the songs could work in such different ways was really really cool and he kept some really special moments of songs in there too
