Weâll ever know because Frank pulled the streaming the day of and denied us actually hearing them.
I had this white guy screaming the lyrics into his phone mic the first stream I got, it was like nails on a chalkboard.

kiddash3rI think some people are so deep into the Frank lore that they feel like they cannot critique him by any means.
Not talking about the people who actually enjoyed the performance, but so many are deluded saying s*** like he is still grieving, this was personal, you're paying for his presence etc.
He is headlining the biggest festival in the world, he got paid for it, its not like they took him there by force.
The Frank Ocean mystique has been ruined for me a long time ago, but this is just absurd
The issue with the mystique thing is folks want to be mysterious like Prince & to be in complete control of how they are perceived.
Sure Prince didn't do a proper interview until 6/7 years into his career but what he did do is... release an amazing album almost every one of those years & he toured constantly with a deep love for it, to the point he did almost 2 concerts each night whenever he performed.

The bar for effort was almost on the ground and Frank still tried to burrow underneath that motherfucker last night.
Nothing says âlove for the artâ like playing the mp3 of Nights while you refuse to sing it live in front of 150k that supported and waited for you for 7 years and then happily ran off the stage like Fred Flintstone hearing the bell to leave work as soon as the curfew kicked in that he wouldnât have been near if he didnât start an hour late.
He abandoned his art if anything last night.

His art IS what pleases his fans. Thatâs why they became fans in the first place.
Him not taking his art or his live show seriously is the problem. This is inherently linked to pleasing the fans.

Itâs insane. Iâve been a massive fan of him and always told people to stay the course but this is obscene at this point.

Franks road is probably one of the trickiest roads because his art has to absolutely be incredible to sustain a fanbase when people like him clearly donât give a s*** about fans (similar to Ye or DâAngelo)
Iâm not saying this was a picture perfect performance (and clearly because even despite how amazing a lot of elements of it were, everyone here is pissed anyway) but to say Frank didnât care about the art when everything he actually showcased from the stages to the performances were clearly amazingly done. Itâs just the breaks and delays that pissed people off but that has nothing to do with the art
